This wedding set the bar high for 2016 wedding season and I am still gushing over the details of this winter elopement. Carla found me on Instagram and we have been chatting via DM ever since about all of the details of their wedding. They ditched the DC courthouse and bought a brand new home two days before they wed, they literally settled and got the keys two days before. The home was a blank canvas and the empty living room draped with accents of burgundy and cranberry red served as the perfect location for their ceremony. The whole family wore matching converses and Carla's bouquet was absolutely stunning. Carlos buttoned Carla into her gown as she held Gio in her arms, it was a very sweet moment. In attendance were just the officiant, myself and their little one. After a kiss to seal the deal they danced their first dance and cut the (delicious and beautiful) cake before we went out into the snow. We wandered into the wooded area and found a teepee made of sticks... as if the day couldnt get any better. Just as the sun was setting we head inside for a toast but they decided to ditch the bubbly and toast with Johnny Walker in champagne flutes. They head out for pizza and coldstone creamery afterwards so the day was truly the perfectest of the perfect. I am so beyond happy for these two and I am grateful they chose me to capture this day for them!
