It's our second week back from our trip to California and we are already planning to go back! We spent the week in northern CA so our next venture will be southern CA before heading back there. We stayed in Sacramento to be close to the airport and got a rental car to travel to San Francisco and Modesto while there. Yay for car seat rentals! Traveling with Brooke was so much fun but we also learned that baby jet lag is not our friend and that taking your teething 11 month old baby in an explore everything stage can be...not awesome for long plane rides :) We packed light for this trip...a diaper bag, my camera bag and one duffle bag were all we brought with us. We decided to just buy an umbrella stroller and baby stuff like diapers, wipes, formula, puffs and and two extra outfits there. Brooke is at a stage where she is eating real food so that made it so much easier to feed her hot meals instead of messy luke warm baby food. We let Brooke wear pajamas for all of the plane rides and I told myself this is the reason she took a nap on each flight, haha! This was my first time flying as an adult and it was for my very first destination wedding! To date all of my weddings have been on the east coast but next year there will be lots of traveling all over and I cannot wait.
So in love with this Nissan Versa! I want one!
I found sunflowers!
We are slightly obsessed with Diner, Drive-ins and Dives so we looked up places to eat on their site and we were not dissapointed with Tommy's Joynt. Yum!
Chopped steak for mama, pastrami sammich for papa and spaghetti for baby girl.
Iron Cactus had some pretty amazing Sopas!
Brooke's daily FaceTime calls make her so happy.
I got to me Tra of Two Twenty Photos at her cute studio in Old Town Sacramento. I love being able to talk business with other creatives and this was an especially great experience since we work on opposite coasts!
I've waited years to try In -n- Out!
We gifted the rental car attendant wine and bottled water since we couldn't take it on the plane.
