covid -19 policies &   rescheduling your wedding:

Are you a booked client rescheduling your wedding?

I want you to be aware of my availability before starting the process of rescheduling your wedding date. To make things easy I have created this guide including steps to rescheduling, my availability calendar for 2021 + 2022 and my rescheduling policies.

contact your venue

You deserve to have your wedding day! Contact your venue first and ask for dates they have available. Venues typically only book 1 wedding a day so it is important that they are consulted with first about a date change. Once your get date option create an email with all vendors included.

contact your vendors

Reach out to all your vendors and let them know the date options your venue provided. Ideally everyone should be available for at least one of those dates. Don't contract a new date until you talk to all your vendors. Remember each vendor is a small business so each will have their own rescheduling policies.

date change

  • Send an "unsave the date" to your guests.

  • Follow-up with a new save the date at least 12 weeks before your new date.

  • Send out the official invitation 8 weeks before your date. Yay!

  • Send these digitally (free and eco-friendly) or via mail.

rescheduling policies
  • Please choose a date I have available from the calendar above

  • You will need to sign a rescheduling addendum.

  • Your retainer payment and any payments made are applied to your new wedding date.

  • Your payment due dates will adjust to your rescheduled wedding date.

  • You can put a soft hold on a 2021 or 2022 date if you are unsure about rescheduling at this time. If someone else chooses that soft hold date you will be notified and will then have 72 hours to decide if you want to move forward with officially rescheduling or the date will be released to the other couple.

  • All wedding events and photography sessions are required to be in compliance with current state/federal mandates.

  • I average around 3-5 inquiries for most dates, that I turn away once booked. I try to be super flexible but I cannot offer an unlimited amount of reschedules. There's no rescheduling fee for first time postponements but a new retainer fee will be required for any additional reschedules.

  • Cancelling your wedding? You will need to sign a cancellation agreement. The non-refundable retainer fee and any additional monies paid will be applied to a photography session to be used within 2 years of original wedding date.

  • Downsizing your wedding? Any payments made will be applied to your elopement/smaller wedding. This would not require a rescheduling addendum, it is a contract revision for your original date and the contract revision is a minimum of 3 hours of coverage.

  • Planning to postpone your bigger wedding but wanting to get married now? A rescheduling addendum will move your original contract to the rescheduled date and I have a micro wedding option which is a separate booking.
